Private Programming

What is Private Coaching?

By Will Brindza

While CFW group CrossFit classes are designed to meet the needs of our overall community, some athletes may find private coaching and programming better suit their specific goals. Examples of these goals include losing weight, preparing for CrossFit competitions, training for specific sports or events, or gaining strength and significantly improving technique.

The CFW private coaching program will aid in identifying your specific goals, assess body mechanics, and design a program aimed at improving your weaknesses and overall performance. Depending on your specific goals and fitness level, you may be grouped with other athletes and/or participate in group classes.

So, who should consider private coaching and programming? If you are new to CrossFit and inactive for a long period of time, have significant health limitations (joint range of motion, previous serious injuries, you get the idea), training for an event or specific sport, or simply want more accountability and coaching.

It is important for us at CFW to create and maintain an atmosphere where every member receives the support and structure needed to achieve their goals. That atmosphere should always be constructive and fun! That is why we have expectations for each of our athletes and hold those expectations high. Private program athletes will be expected to attend group classes and continue to be involved in the CFW community. Likewise, we expect athletes exclusively involved in group classes to be supportive of the private program. We take different paths on the road to our goals, and the one thing we all have in common is our CrossFit community.

What is Private Coaching?

It is a targeted program designed to improve the athlete’s weaknesses in all areas of health and fitness.
