Barb Deeth

Head CrossFit Kids Coach

Barbara is a transplant from Vancouver, Canada, where she worked as a recreation therapist designing and implementing recreational, inter-generational, pet therapy, and after-school programs for children and adults. She began her fitness career early on as a figure skater and continued to explore a variety of sports including soccer, field hockey, basketball, swimming, and track & field throughout her high school and college years.

Her love of sports and fitness provided opportunities for coaching both elementary school field hockey and high school girls basketball.

Barbara rediscovered her love of sports and fitness as she began training for a life-long goal of running a marathon. She completed a half marathon in the spring of 2010 and then a full marathon that fall in October. Her training eventually led her to CrossFit, where she has found a new energy and excitement for fitness. She is a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and has attended the CrossFit Kids Seminar. Barbara has competed in the Bend Winter and Summer CrossFit Games and in the CrossFit Open since 2012.

Known as “Coach Barb” to all CF Kids athletes from toddlers through teens, Barbara homeschools her three children and is committed to lifelong fitness.
