Athlete of the Month: John Dorrance

Congratulations to John Dorrance, our April Athlete of the Month.  He may seem like  a man of few words, however his words are always so impactful, positive and genuine. John will be there cheer you on, ask you how your day is going, help clean up your equipment or be the first to respond to a medical issue. Thank you for being such a positive role model!

Bootcamps
Mountain Biking
Camping
Mountain Climbing
Skiing

What kind of animal would you consider yourself during a WOD? 
Never thought of myself as an animal during a WOD.
My kids and people in the past have called me Sasquatch.
Must be because of my good looks.

What is your most favorite or least favorite movement?  
Overhead squats.
      
What is your biggest accomplishment since starting CrossFit? 
Having both kids (Bryce and Reid) graduate from College.
Kids are now off the “Family Plan”!

What is your favorite WOD? 
Any WOD that is long with endurance.

What is your favorite motivational quote? 
John Paul Jones in the Battle of 1770.
"I have not yet begun to fight!"

What is some advice you'd give to someone new to CrossFit? 
"Keep going and do not give up”
